Wisdom teeth are the last molars on each side of the jaws. Indeed, they are also the last teeth to be born, usually when the person is between 16 and 20 years of age. After the tooth extraction, it is recommended that you bite down softly on a piece of gauze for 30 to 45 minutes after leaving the office, to stop any bleeding that may occur. In addition to that, you may feel some pain or swelling which will naturally disappear after a few days, however, you should call your dentist if you have prolonged or severe pain, bleeding, swelling or fever.
